Today is another gorgeous day of weather with sunny, but cool conditions with highs in the mid 60s. Tonight, growers beware, temperatures fall into the 30s, we are likely to see areas of patchy frost across North and Central Alabama; protect any sensitive vegetation.

The new month starts off the way the last one ended, dry and very warm. Today we are seeing temperatures surge into the 80s for most locations despite more clouds than sun in the sky. Tonight will be mainly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 60s.

A sun-filled sky covers Alabama today and after the chilly morning, with lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s, afternoon highs are surging into the upper 60s and lower 70s.
A good-looking Wednesday is underway across Alabama with plenty of sunshine and blue sky. There are a few areas of clouds, but overall, the sky is featuring more sunshine.
Rain continues to fall across much of Alabama today, and it remains quite breezy due to pressure gradient (non-thunderstorm) winds. The winds will be diminishing through the afternoon hours, and the rain will gradually end from west to east across Alabama today as drier air begins to work into the Alabama.
A band of showers and thunderstorms will push into Alabama late tonight. These storms will be strong and there could be a few severe storms, but the line of storms will be weakening as the push into and through the state.
The rain today will come in waves, with some breaks in the rain for a couple of hours, then a couple of hours of rain. We are seeing a few peeks of sunshine today as well, but overall clouds will win the day.
The clear sky from this morning is slowing seeing clouds increase from the west and southwest ahead of our next weather system that will bring some showers to Alabama tonight and more widespread rain tomorrow.
Today is the first official full day of spring as the vernal equinox occurred at 10:06 PM CDT last night. Today started out cold, but with sunny sky we are seeing afternoon highs surging into the low 70s for many North/Central Alabama communities.
