I have also read about it in "The Complete Guide to Alabama Weather" by Carol Evans who also is the publisher for Birmingham Parent Magazine. It is a very sad story. I learned that 58 years past before Jack Latham saw his parents and siblings gravesites. I also learned that the 4 orphans were mistreated under foster care.
