You know not only have we had a lot of bad weather on Sundays lately but also around holidays . . . including Christmas Eve last year. Ah well . . . but we'll certainly be glad to have the rain!

Good morning everyone. The garden is very late this year. Normally I plant during the later half of April but it was so wet at the new garden site that I couldn't plant till the end of May. so everything is behind. When it did turn dry it really turned dry. our June rain was only 1.21 inches, the year to date total is 24.65 inches. That is much better than the drought when here in Vigo we only received about 16 inches for the year. I plan to put the fertilizer out today and maybe plant my late corn and beans. In my youth when we put the fertilizer out after the plants were up and established well was called laying by.

low this morning was 58.9.
