Tornado Warning for Fayette County

A TORNADO WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR FAYETTE COUNTY!

Dangerous storm with a history of producing tornadoes is approaching Kennedy and will be moving into Fayette County. It should pass between Belk and Newtonville.

There is a tornado debris signature indicated southeast of Millport.

This storm is moving into an area of especially high low level helicity or spin. Instabilities are high, and this storm will continue to produce tornadoes.

Be in safe shelter as it approaches!

* AT 658 PM CDT…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO
WAS LOCATED NEAR KENNEDY…OR NEAR MILLPORT…MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30
MPH.

HAZARD…TORNADO AND GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL.

SOURCE…RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.

IMPACT…FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT
SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED.
DAMAGE TO ROOFS…WINDOWS…AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE
DAMAGE IS LIKELY.
