Significant Weather Advisory – St. Clair, South-Central Etowah, Shelby, Bibb, & Southeastern Jefferson Counties Until 8:45 PM CDT

A Significant Weather Advisory has been issued for St. Clair, South-Central Etowah, Shelby, Bibb, & Southeastern Jefferson Counties until 8:45 PM CDT. A line of strong thunderstorms were located near Steele and Eoline, and was moving east at 35 MPH. Hail of 1/2 inch in diameter and gusty winds of 40 MPH or greater could be possible with this storm. Locations in the path of this storm are listed below. Please seek shelter immediately.

AT 817 PM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG
A LINE EXTENDING FROM NEAR STEELE TO NEAR EOLINE. MOVEMENT WAS EAST
AT 35 MPH.

PEA SIZE HAIL AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH
THESE STORMS.
