The first half of our Saturday has been sun-filled and gorgeous. Temperatures have been able to make it into the upper 70s and lower 80s across Central Alabama. But cooler air temperatures, 50s and 60s, are just to the north of the area, and are heading south.

The rest of today, we are going to see some weather changes as a dry cold front is pushing through the state. No rain associated with it, but there are a few clouds, and once the front passes, winds will become quite breezy this afternoon and into tonight. Winds will be on the order of 10-20 mph with gusts to 30mph.

Temperatures will be falling too, and as we head into the overnight hours many locations in Central Alabama will be in the 40s, while lower 50s are expected for our southern communities. Forecast model output below is pretty close to our thinking for 7AM tomorrow morning.

For your Sunday, high pressure will be in control of our weather and at the surface cooler and drier air will continue to flow into the state. Tomorrow will be cooler and afternoon highs will be about ten degrees cooler than today. That means upper 60s and lower 70s for many of us. We will see a few more clouds, but overall, a very nice and almost cool May Sunday for us all.
