Some Counties Dropped From Watch

The severe thunderstorm watch has been canceled for Blount, Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Walker and Winston Counties.

The severe thunderstorm watch continues for Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Etowah, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Randolph, Russell, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa and Tuscaloosa counties until 9:00 PM CDT.

The line of storms extends almost across the entire state from northern Sumter ad Greene Counties in the west through Bibb and Shelby Counties then into East Alabama across Talladega, Calhoun and Cleburne.

It has tons of lightning, some hail and damaging wins associated with it. Winds could reach 60-70 mph with the stronger storms.
