We’re Losing The Sun & Storms Are Losing Their Strength

Storms have really lost their strength since the last post as the sun has made its way beneath the horizon. There are still a few showers in progress over in eastern parts of Central Alabama at this time, as they are continuing to push off to the east towards Georgia. None are of any concern and should start to fall apart in about an hour.

As for the storms that were pushing in from Mississippi earlier, almost all of those have dissipated within the last hour. There is a decent storm that is pushing to the south in southern Sumter County that is putting down some heavy rain and is still showing some lightning strikes.

Looking at the latest run of the HRRR, these showers will continue to diminish over the next few hours and we should have no concern for any of these becoming strong.
