Tornado Warning for Lamar, Marion and Fayette Counties

UPDATE 1209 AM
Most dangerous part of the storm including a tornado capable of producing considerable damage is passing north of Winfield. It is about to cross I-22. This dangerous tornado may hit Brilliant directly. There is a tornado debris signature clearly evident. It has struck Gu-win. There are widespread power outages in Guin. Extensive damage including damage to structures has been reported in Lamar County. A warning will be coming for Winston County soon.

UPDATE 1150 PM
Trained spotter has observed tornado on the ground near the Lamar County Airport.

UPDATE 1148 PM
This is a very dangerous storm with a tornado debris signature and debris ball. The NWS indicates it is an extremely dangerous tornado. They have applied the CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE tag. There are reports of numerous trees down south of Sulligent.

Storm capable of producing a tornado is near Vernon in Lamar County. It has a very impressive couplet, located between Sulligent and Vernon.

It will move near or just south of US-278 passing near Sulligent, Beaverton, Guin and Winfield. It could eventually affect Brilliant and Glen Allen.
