The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore the warning has been cancelled.


Severe Thunderstorm Warning Continues For Parts Of Etowah County Until 230 AM CST

At 158 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Reece City, or
near Gadsden, moving northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Gadsden, Rainbow City, Boaz, Hokes Bluff, Attalla, Glencoe, Sardis
City, Steele, Altoona, Walnut Grove, Reece City, Gadsden Mall, Tabor
Road, Aurora, Noccalula Falls, Ballplay, Neely Henry Lake, Southside,
Ridgeville and Gadsden Steam Plant.

Etowah County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 230 AM CST

* At 130 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Inland Lake,
or near Springville, moving northeast at 60 mph. This storm has a
history of producing high winds and wind damage.
HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
