A Beautiful But Windy Midday Across Central Alabama

| January 23, 2017 @ 1:34 pm

Skies across the area at this late midday hour are almost completely clear, with the exception of some cloud cover hanging tough over the extreme eastern parts of the area over to the Alabama/Georgia state line. That’s a big relief compared to the weekend that we experienced weather-wise.

TEMPERATURES ACROSS CENTRAL ALABAMA AT THIS HOUR
Temperatures at 1:23 PM are ranging from the mid 50s in the northern parts of the area, to the mid 60s in the south. The warm spot is currently Montgomery at 66 degrees, while the cool spot is Haleyville at 57 degrees.

FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY
Skies will be clear for the remainder of the afternoon and early evening hours, but winds will be quite gusty for a little while longer. Highs will be in the mid 50s to the mid 60s across Central Alabama from north to south. Tonight will be fair and cold, with clear skies allowing the radiational heating from the day to escape. Lows will be in the mid 30s to near 40 degrees across the area.

TUESDAY’S FORECAST
A sunny day with warmer temperatures can be expected for your Tuesday. Afternoon highs will be in the low to mid 60s. For tomorrow night, skies will start off mainly clear, but some clouds will move in during the early morning hours of Wednesday ahead of a cold front. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 40s across the area.

HEADED TO THE BEACH
Clearing skies to start off the week, with mostly sunny skies for the rest of the week and into the first part of the weekend. There may be a very small risk for showers on Wednesday. Highs will start of in the 60s, then warming into the 70s for midweek before cooling down into the 50s for the remainder of the week. Click here to see the Beach Forecast Center page.
