2008 Breaks into Top Ten for Annual U.S. Tornado Fatalities
The two fatalities reported in the North Carolina tornado early Friday morning moved the tornado fatality count for 2008 to 125. This makes 2008 the tenth deadliest year for tornadoes in U.S. history.
