Strong Storms Moving Into Parts Of Marion And Winston Counties
At 1042 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Fairview to 6 miles southeast of Moulton. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. Dime size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include… Hamilton, Haleyville, Hackleburg, Double Springs, Addison, Houston Recreational Area, Nesmith, Brushy Lake, Weston, Inmanfield, Ashridge, Sardis, Brinn, Lake Buttahatchee, Needmore, Moreland, Winston Free State Barn, Bear Creek, Posey Field Airport and Rankin

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
