A Gravity Wave Is Approaching Marshall, Cullman, & Morgan Counties With Very Gusty Winds

At 521 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of showers and embedded thunderstorm over Holly Pond, or near Blountsville, moving north at 35 mph. A gravity wave is producing winds of 40 to 50 mph with this area of showers and embedded thunderstorms.

Therefore NWS Huntsville has issued a Significant Weather Advisory until 5:45PM for Southwestern Marshall, Northeastern Cullman, and Southeastern Morgan counties.

Locations impacted include…
Guntersville, Arab, Hanceville, Holly Pond, Morgan City, Baileyton, Eva, Fairview, Union Grove and Valhermoso Springs.

Strong gusty winds will be capable of knocking down small tree limbs along with other small unsecured items. Seek safe shelter until this storm has passed.
