Splendid Spring Saturday

| April 1, 2017 @ 12:44 pm

Hard to find a flaw with the weather outside today; severe clear, as we are experiencing tons of sunshine in that beautiful blue sky.

After the chilly start this morning, most of us are into the 70s this afternoon. The month of April is certainly starting off early perfect.

Tonight, will be another mainly clear and cool night, as lows fall back into the lower 50s for most locations.

FOR TOMORROW: The daytime hours will be fantastic and feature plenty of sunshine with temperatures surging into the lower 80s. No issues with the weather in Alabama, but to our west a severe weather outbreak is expected and that system will impact Alabama on Monday.  Late tomorrow and into tomorrow night, clouds will increase ahead of this next system.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK TOMORROW: Our friends to the southwest of us will need to be on guard tomorrow as the SPC has already issued a “moderate risk” (level 4 out of 5) for tomorrow. Organized severe thunderstorm development is expected across parts of eastern Texas into western and central Louisiana Sunday through Sunday night. This includes a risk for tornadic supercells, a few of which could be strong, along with considerable potential for damaging wind gusts with an evolving squall line, and that line of storms will head towards Alabama Monday. Until then, enjoy this wonderful weekend weather.
