Strong Storm Affecting Lawrence County

At 302 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Courtland, or 14 miles north of Moulton, moving northeast at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Therefore the NWS Huntsville has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Northeastern Lawrence County until 3:15PM.

Locations impacted include: Town Creek, Courtland, North Courtland, Hillsboro and Wheeler.

Strong gusty winds will be capable of knocking down small tree limbs along with other small unsecured items. Seek safe shelter until this storm has passed.
