Strong Storm Affecting Parts of Jackson, Marshall, & Dekalb Counties

At 520 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles northwest of Geraldine, or 13 miles northeast of Guntersville, moving northeast at 20 mph. Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.

Therefore the NWS office in Huntsville has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Central Jackson, Northeastern Marshall, and West Central Dekalb counties until 5:45PM.

Locations impacted include: Scottsboro, Rainsville, Sylvania, Fyffe, Powell, Geraldine, Section, Dutton, Shiloh and Langston.
