Flood Warning for Village Creek in Ensley

A flood warning has been issued for Village Creek near Avenue W in Ensley.

The creek has risen rapidly in the past couple of hours due to heavy rainfall in the area. The rain has tapered but additional rains will maintain the flooding.

The creek is approaching 9 feet. Flood stage is ten feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Impact…At 10.0 feet…Flooding of low-lying areas begins in Ensley
and Pratt City. The water treatment plant west of Pratt City begins
to flood along the road near the digest area of the plant on the
north side of the creek.
