Impressive Rainfall Totals Within The Last 24 Hours From Around The State

| June 22, 2017 @ 10:43 am

As I was entering my 24-hour rainfall total in for my location in Warrior, I noticed that my 1.65 inches really pale in comparison to some of the totals from around the rest of the state. Here are just the top-10 that are showing on the CoCoRaHS site as of 10:30AM…

4.40 in – Greenville 1.5 WSW
4.30 in – Excel 2.5 ESE
4.00 in – Repton 5.7 S
3.88 in – Uriah 8.1 W
3.69 in – Pollard 2.4 N
3.47 in – Bay Minette 10.9 N
3.45 in – Clanton 2.0 SE
3.39 in – Millbrook 4.0 NNW
3.25 in – Deatsville 3.4 NW
3.24 in – Camden 1.0 NNE

Now these are just the totals from the last 24-hours from the CoCoRaHS site, but I’m sure there will be greater storm totals when this event is all said and done. We know that there were totals over 8.00 inches during the day on Wednesday, as reported on the NWS Chat, especially the 8.02 inches that fell just northeast of Johnson’s Beach, FL, and the very impressive 8.50 inches in Wiggins, MS.
