…THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR LIMESTONE…SOUTHEASTERN COLBERT…FRANKLIN…NORTHWESTERN MORGAN AND LAWRENCE COUNTIES… At 408 PM CDT, doppler radar precipitation estimates indicate that 2 to locally 3 inches of rain fell this afternoon across portions of northwest and north central Alabama. The heavy rainfall atop saturated soils has resulted in localized flash flooding. The rainfall has subsided and the flooding should slowly diminish as we go into the late afternoon hours. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Decatur, Athens, Russellville, Tuscumbia, Moulton, Trinity, Ardmore, Town Creek, Littleville and Leighton.
