Strong Storms Affecting Lamar, Marion and Fayette Counties

A cluster of strong storms is over Lamar County, near Sulligent. It will move east northeast, affecting northern Lamar and southeastern Marion Counties, affecting Winfield and Eldridge as well as Glen Allen.

Winds could reach 40-50 mph and there is deadly lightning as well.

Be in safe shelter as these storms approach.

Other storms are over Northwest Alabama from Florence to Red Bay. Everything moving east northeast at 30 mph.

All of the activity looks like it will stay north of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, but additional storms could form on the southern flank of this passing upper level disturbance and could affect those areas from now until sunset.
