The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
    Tallapoosa County in east central Alabama…
    Chambers County in east central Alabama…

* Until 1030 AM CDT

* At 732 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain continued across the warned area. Rainfall of two to three inches have already occurred in some locations and another one to two inches is expected during the next hour in some areas. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Alexander City, Dadeville, Camp Hill, Lafayette, Stroud, La
    Fayette, Jacksons’ Gap, New Site, Red Level, Waverly, Cusseta, Goldville, Denson, Sturkie, Abanda, Welch, Trammel Crossroads, Ridge Grove, Buffalo and Jacksons Gap.
