Tornado Warning Update

| January 10, 2009 @ 5:50 pm | 8 Replies

This update is at 5:45 p.m. The Tornado Warning was in effect for part of Tuscaloosa County until 5:45 and also Eastern Pickens County. The NWS cancelled the warning for Pickens County because the storms had migrated eastward. NWS also says that rotation in the storm is very weak and rapidly diminishing, but they cannot rule out an additional possible spin up in some of the heavier storms along the line.

The Tornado Warning also expired for Tuscaloosa County at 5:45. The stronger storms are now passing through West and NW Tuscaloosa County but some of the heavier ones were over East and SE Walker County approaching West Jefferson County.

We have no confirmed reports of damage .
