Mike Umscheid is a well known storm chaser who works for the NWS in Dodge City, Kansas.
He was working the radar Friday night and issuing warnings as a long lived, cyclic supercell thunderstorm roared to life over southwestern Kansas.
Mike is responsible for saving countless lives in the town of Greensburg with his well worded and urgent warnings and statements.

Could not imagine being in Mike’s shoes at either times . Amazing and almost unbelievable if it were not for it being so true .
