Early, Early Update–3:15 Report

November 30, 2009, 3:18 am | J.B. Elliott | Forecast Discussion

Very, very early on this last day of November, we find a long line of moderate to heavy showers moving into Alabama.

At 3:15 am, they extended from Scottsboro in the Extreme NE to Winston County and across Lamar County near the Mississippi border. From there, all the way into Louisiana.

Earlier, there was also lightning all along the line. However, lightning is now confined to Louisiana.

This line of showers should reach the Birmingham area by 5 am or so and we may have wet weather for at least part of morning drive.

A cold front, or shall we say, “cool front” was with the line of showers so it will be turning cooler again.
