Ah man, do I need to go on and get in the septic tank? My main coon just had a new litter and my buddy sent a grease trap so they can be protected.
It pays to know someone in waste management!

Hey J.B.: Storm Alert Radar looks like our Christmas Tree in the next room. I assume over here ATL metro we’ll see this action at a later hour. We’re still in the cool air. Saw it was 62degrees in Bham on this blog’s home page. Here in the Marietta area Dobbins AFB is still reporting 43degrees. Almost 20degrees difference. I’m listening to fairly heavy rain I as write this.

50% chance in the watch area of seeing a tornado greater than F2 strength. Very dangerous situation developing across MS/AL. Maybe Spann should go live earlier.

Looking at the watch box gives the impression that jefferson, blount, and shelby were added to the watch by the SPC at BMX’s request just before the watch was issued since they jut out a bit to the east of the remainder of the watch area.

Hi Jeff, where did you see that information?
Wayne — long time, no see (for me)! My friend in Powder Springs said it was pouring rain about an hour ago. I don’t think the warm front has gotten to y’all just yet.

J.B., or anyone else that’s qualified: I live in Jemison, and I’m wondering what the chances are that Chilton county be included in a later watch?
December 8th, 2009 at 6:45 pm
Tuscaloosa temp has risen from 61 to 67 in the past 90 minutes. Dew has risen from 60 to 64. Not good…
December 8th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
It’s the SPC’s public outlook that really worries me – and HUN’s last forecast discussion. They seem to think the risk for tornadoes – maybe even a stronger one – is increasing . . . (frown)

Hey Julie: As mentioned above still cold and rainy here though it looks like it’s easing up by the latest radar returns. My Wife, Daughter and Grandson are out in this mess. I’m sure they’ll be back before the warm air gets here. Are you all expecting a big snow or is all that further north.
December 8th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Pressure has been falling like a rock here in Cleveland (Blount Co). Temp 61.4 DP 59.6 PR 29.67F
December 8th, 2009 at 6:54 pm
Hey Jeffco, whta is your point.
December 8th, 2009 at 6:59 pm
Hi Wayne, we are in extreme southern Ohio, very close to the Ohio River, so we are not expecting a major snow event here. There will be some, but not near what will be falling nearer to the Great Lakes. Our major concern here is the wind.

Angie…
It is entirely possible that Chilton County could be in a watch later tonight. Adjacent Bibb, Perry and Dallas are already in this watch until 2 am. When the time boundary is so far out (nearly 8 hours in this case) even fairly small changes in the forward movement can throw the timing off. On the other hand, by 2 am, it is possible that the atmosphere may be more stable. So I would guess about a 50% chance for Chilton. I know that is not much help

Thanks, J.B.! I’ll have my weather radio set just in case. I hope you’re stocked up on pop-tarts and coffee! Thanks for all that you do!!
