Tornado Warning Blount, Etowah and St. Clair Counties

BMX issues Tornado Warning for Blount, Etowah, St. Clair [AL] till 11:45 PM CST …* AT 1112 PM CST…THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DETECTED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR ALLGOOD…MOVING NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH.

The most dangerous part of the storm is between Oneonta and Springville, east of Allgood and near Highland Lake.

This storm will stay just north of I-59 until it gets to Attalla. Folks in rural St. Clair County from Highland Lake northeastward into southern Etowah and northern St. Clair Counties between Altoona and Steele should take immediate tornado precautions.

Sirens are sounding county wide in St. Clair County, but the threat is to the northern part of that county.

    we have unbelieveable winds in Piedmont in Calhoun County

    Power is in and out on Noccalula mtn. due to winds. Tornadic storm seems to be distant b/c of absence of lightning here.
