A Nice Sunset/Sun Dog

I took this photo of a sun dog while in Hoover at 4:22PM. I’ve seen these before but these were bigger and had more color to them.

    Dave-Nice shot. Looks easy but they’re always hard to get. I typically end up metering them wrong. I actually took the same sky tonight from Homewood.

    Ted…. I under stand about metering wrong. So, I take 3 maybe 4 photos and I hope one comes out! I also shoot in “raw” and that helps! If your camera has “raw” that is the ONLY way to go. I stayed away from “raw” for over two years, because I did not understand it, but now all photos are shot in “raw”.

    Yeah, at some point I’ll have to give in and try shooting raw, especially when I get serious about post-processing. I recently got a Nikon D80 and it has an internal editing function that overlays selected shots taken in “raw”.
