Mr. Elliot, the ‘Miserable Index’ was on up there this morning during my extra wet delivery. My Columbia rain jacket got quite a workout and the lightning, made walking my condo deliveries a challenge.
All papers were delivered and only a few were a few minutes late. Now off to be for a nap.

Good Grief! That was some bad “training” thunderstorms last night. It was just one right after the other for hours! Little sleep was gotten in my house last night because to start the night off about 11:00 when the thunder and heavy rain was getting started, a transformer blew twice in my neighborhood and caught on fire! Looked like the whole pole was on fire, but I don’t think it was. Hey, Newspaper guy, I prayed for you about 3:00 this morning when I couldn’t sleep. I guess I couldn’t imagine anyone being out in weather like that like Alabama Power repairmen, NEWSPAPER GUYS, etc. and I thought of you! Listen, I forgot what the miserable index went up to, but last night had to be a 10!
