Here is the accumulated snow graphic from the 21Z run of the RPM, valid through 6:00 p.m. tomorrow…

No change in our thinking. Rain and storms tonight; the while we have severe weather issues now over Mississippi, the storms should weaken as they move into the more stable air over Alabama later tonight. No widespread severe weather issues are expected.

Bitterly cold air invades Alabama tomorrow, and as you can see the RPM continues to suggest the best chance of a dusting to 1 inch of snow will over Northeast Alabama, especially the higher terrain. Snow flurries are likely across North-Central Alabama, maybe a snow shower in spots, but significant accumulation is not expected. The big issue is the COLD. Temperatures will hover around the freezing mark tomorrow with strong northwest winds to 35 mph at times. We will be well down in the teens both Monday and Tuesday morning, with potential for single digit lows for the colder spots early Tuesday.
