Thanks to Carol Smedley for these images… she writes:

“My sister-in-law lives in Pensacola and took these photos this morning from her building at work. I thought you would enjoy seeing them.

This is the fun Pensacola has been going thru this morning! The big building in the foreground of the first picture is the Grand Hotel, where our offices used to be – has been almost destroyed twice from Hurricane Georges and then Ivan – they keep building it back! Seems like it’s in a bad-luck place to me! We’ve had considerable damage in Myrtle Grove and downtown area (near me) but no firm news yet except the area around Joe Patti’s Seafood has taken some damage. Weather is moving out now, though and headed N’oth. Looks like mid-hurricane weather today.”
