  8. jessica morgan says:

i agree i like the fun with milk and bread

  9. Mary says:

What the “fun with milk and bread” gals are doing is called the Women’s Victory Dance Over Other Less-Prepared Women.

You see the symbols of their successful market foray: bread, the staff of life; and milk, the beverage base for all-ages comfort drinks.

You see them displaying their symbols as they jump about happily. The woman on the right even taunts the less-prepared with her tan and flip-flops, evoking memories of happier times that she would have all know that she still enjoys even outside of sunbathing weather.

Anthropologists and sociologists will be studying this phenomenon for decades.

Or, they could simply ask us women and we’d explain it to them now: it snowed, dadgumit, and we got bread and milk!

  10. christy says:

The truck with the rope and the boat was funny but the ladies with the milk and bread is HANDS DOWN the best snow image. I laughed all night last night into this morning. You should invite them to the studio and have them explain the image. I think us ABC 3340 and Spann fans would LOVE that.

  11. Amy M. says:

These pics remind me of how much I love Alabama!

  12. Renee' Hurd says:

My husband would have been one of the boneheads out in the snow in shorts. In Chicago cold.

  13. Jeff says:

Per ALDOT, I-20 closed @ I-459 ramp due to ice and 18 wheeler crash.

  14. Jennifer says:

I sent a pic of my newborn in the snow who is much younger then that pic….:(

  15. Laura B says:

Nothing quite says “this is something you would see only in Alabama” except the three guys in their shorts and cowboy boots with no shirts. At least we had fun, right? 🙂

  16. Jim says:

Nothing says “woo hoo, I’m drunk” like an alabammer teeshirt and houndstooth shorts. I will, however, give a 7 for effort and cute legs!

  17. Adrianne Tanner says:

I have laughed out loud at this pic all day. Awesome!

  18. shannon says:

WE LOVE YOUNGEST PERSON TO ENJOY THE SNOW> “BSC”

  19. Regina says:

Love the milk and bread gals! All the pics are great!

  20. jonw1983 says:

The guy to the left in the bonehead pic is cute. Lol

  21. chris says:

You should really have the two girls with the milk and bread on the newscast. They are the symbol for this event.

  22. ALboatingLaws says:

I do not see the proper PFDs in use in the boat and I believe they exceeded the maximum allowed weight limit for the vessel. Also, they should probably check to ensure they have a functional fire extinguisher.

As for the bread and milk duo, they were just excited to learn how great Milk Sandwiches taste.

    Great pics today!

  23. sajeffe says:

Thanks for picking out some cool shots to share with us. I didn’t really want to look through all of the pictures. But I agree with the MILK AND BREAD fans. It’s by far the best. The whole psychology of everyone needing to go get milk and bread before the storm hits is funny. We do it in Ohio too. And, I’m sure Gulf folks do it before a hurricane. Just HAVE TO HAVE milk and bread. Even if you don’t drink milk. 🙂 Nice photos, all of them.

  24. bobbleheads says:
