Early Evening in Alabama–6:45 Report

| March 14, 2011 @ 6:48 pm | 1 Reply

A line of showers and thunderstorms continues to progress eastward across Alabama this evening and the storms are in no particular hurray.

Actually, it is a broad band instead of a sharply-defined line.

Lightning activity has greatly decreased.

Even better news, the NWS canceled the Severe Thunderstorm Watch that originally was supposed to go to 9 pm.

At 6:45 pm, the heaviest rain (a downpour for some) was over Winston, Cullman and Walker County in North Central and Northwest Alabama.
