Pounding The Weather Channel

You may or may not recognize his name, but John ColemanJohn Coleman, the first weather anchor for ABC’s Good Morning America, is considered the father of The Weather Channel. Despite people telling him he was nuts for having the idea, Coleman started the network in 1982 and spent one year, helping build it into the nation’s first 24-hour weather channel for cable TV.
