Needs Are Great

We just received this message at 7:10 this morning; a reminder that search and rescue operations are still in progress this morning. There is so much work to do.

“I am writing to because so many of my friends and family in my hometown of Pleasant Grove are unable to communicate with no power and spotty cell phone service. Many of them are still trapped in neighborhoods because the large debris is blocking the roads. There are definitely fatalities and people severely injured – still trapped in damaged homes. The local police are warning them not to drink the tap water. My brother is walking from the hardest hit area of the Fan Road sub-division over to my parents house in the Highland Forrest sub-division this morning. He called me along the way and said most everything in between is gone – not just damaged, but gone. He also said that any homes with partial basements that were in the path of the storm would not have offered any protection to those seeking shelter. Please help get the word out to the Rescue agencies. Thank you.”
