Thanks to Michael Clements for this image… he writes…

“Hi James,

This is a seven shot stitched panorama that I shot from Vulcan today, as the storm was moving in over downtown Birmingham. (I’m here taking some computer training.) Got a little hairy up there while the storm was passing over.”

Looks like it came straight from Fallen Skies. Very cool picture.

  2. Aubrey says:

I saw this as I went running. Decided it was best to take my neighbors home, then went out and tried to go as fast as possible. It was terribly dark.

I was thinking: This is the end of time!

Great picture! I love the contrast between the sunlit buildings on the left and the deeply shadowed terrain on the right. You get a sense of the tension in the air as the city awaits the approaching darkness of the storm.

Great Shot! Scary look cloud! Looks like anything could drop out of the cloud at anytime. I love the contrast shading of light under the cloud vs. under lighter skies. And combining seven shot to make this one panorama is fantastic. Excellent photography.
