Numerous Reports of Flooding in the Metro

Our Scanner volunteers, John Talbot and Richard Viola, report that the radios are super busy.

A few reports…

…Several streets in Hueytown impassable due to flooding…one neighborhood has 2-3 feet of standing water…John reports they are still getting heavy rain…
…Tree blocking US-43 near MM219 around Samantha.
…20th street in Ensley being closed due to flooding under the I-59 overpass
…2000 block of 7th/8th Avenue in Bessemer…motorist stranded by flooding…FD enroute.

Nathan Burks reports flooding in Bessemer, including water about to be in some businesses along 19th Street. He also relays a report that Brooklane Drive in Hueytown is flooded.

James Tyler reports power out in much of Tuscaloosa.

Ron Hughes reports tree down on Upper Columbus Road near Coker.

Flash flood warningS continues for Tuscaloosa, Jefferson and Blount Counties where heavy rain continues.
