Here are some more photos of the damage from the 2/5/08 tornado that plowed across Lawrence Co. in north Alabama.

All photos were taken by Rex Free, a resident of Moulton, who says the tornado missed his home by about two miles. Quoting Rex:

“Yesterday, Margaret and I spent the better part of 8 hours during the night and the daytime traveling the 16 mile path of destruction video taping this for the local, state and federal government. We saw some things that still upset us this morning….There were lots of stories that you will never hear on the news….both of sadness and good things…stories of those lying out in a pasture yelling for help, sucked out of their homes…..This will impact this area for years to come, folks. I saw a lot of poor people that had no insurance and have absolutely nothing.
I witnessed an absolutely beautiful $250,000 two story home of some friends, chewed up, and spit out like a blender. They have absolutely nothing left but the clothes on their back. They were tramped in the basement for 2 hours with their baby. They were lucky. I went to some other places where a family died. That place and the story that goes with it breaks my heart. Please remember these people in your prayers.”
