Flash Flood Watch – NW Alabama

The NWS has issued a flash flood watch for Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Walker, Winston counties till 6:00 p.m… as heavy rain could bring over two inches of rain to these counties along with potential for some flooding problems.

The good news is that this rain will mean a stable airmass, and the risk of severe weather north of I-20 remains very low today.

To the south, SPC maintains a slight risk of severe weather for the southern two-thirds of Alabama this afternoon. Scroll down for the full discussion, and see the Weather Xtreme video for details…
