Damaging Winds/Tornado Possible Bibb. Chilton and Shelby

The tornado warning continues for Bibb, Chilton and Shelby Counties until 1:45 p.m.

If you are in the warnings, please be in safe shelter.

The circulations over Shelby County have weakened but there is still a threat of a tornado, especially northeast of Montevallo. This storm will move in the general direction of Calera and Columbiana.

There have been no reports of damage from these storms.

The line of storms that now extends along I-65 from Morris through Birmingham to near Calera. It then bends southwestward through Montevallo and into southeastern Bibb Counties. Additional strong storms are near Selma.

The air ahead of this line of storms and generally south of I-20 is unstable, becoming more unstable the further south that you go.
