…..So sad. The Parliament House used to host the Birmingham Sci-Fi convention, back in the late 1980s, “Continuity.” One night during the convention, there was a tornado warning for Birmingham, so what did us young, dumb nerd-geeks do? Run out on the roof by the pool, and watch. We figured we’d see it coming up through West End, and could run for it, if necessary! We were idiots…
…..The wind was amazing. You could lean forward in it, over 45 degrees. This must have been around 1989 or 1990…
