Storms Over North Alabama

| February 22, 2012 @ 6:40 pm

Strong storms continue over the Tennessee Valley this evening… most of them are along and north of U.S. 278, or north of a line from Hamilton to Cullman to Gadsden.

So far the main issues have been large hail… there is one tornado warning up on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. It looks like most of the storms will stay north of Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Anniston tonight. And, the main risks will continue to be hail and gusty winds, but we still can’t rule out an isolated tornado.

Storms will diminish by 9:00 p.m…
