Trouble In Paradise

Thanks to Charles Daniel of ABC 33/40 for passing these pictures along from Patty Bell. She writes…

“Hi there,
Thought you might enjoy this pictoral of life here last Friday. A water spout formed offshore during a thunderstorm. When it reached land at the 1180-1208 block of Mokulua it became a tornado and sketched a path towards the Lanikai hillside, up and over the ridge and down the backside through the Enchanted Lake area. Shortly thereafter a second waterspout formed but it dissipated without incident. Outside our Lanikai bubble pockets from Waimanalo to Kaneohe Bay experienced hail up to 2 and a half inches in diameter- enough to make a blanket of ice on roads, rip up a bimminy cover on a large boat and more. There was plenty of flooding around the island, gratefully this time we were spared. It was one for the record books for sure.
Aloha,
Patty”
