Things Calming Down

The strongest storms in the state now are in the Northeast Corner, east of Fort Payne and along I-85 from Montgomery to Auburn.

None of them are severe at this time.

Hail had covered the road on I-59 in Northeast Alabama near Valley Head to the extent that traffic had stopped.

Getting miscellaneous wind damage reports from earlier, including trees down near Adamsville, trees down in and around Fayette and Gardendale.

Trees were reported down in Elmore County at 7:45 pm in the community of Elmore.

WATCH CHANGED
Watch canceled for Blount, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Shelby, St. Clair and Talladega Counties.

The watch continues for Autauga, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Elmore, Etowah, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Randolph, Russella and Tallapoosa Counties til midnight.
