Chilton Warning Canceled; False Returns

| May 30, 2012 @ 12:38 am

Chilton County severe thunderstorm warning has been canceled. The storms have weakened.

NOTE FROM RADAR

The radar echoes over Northwest Alabama are not real tonight. They are false returns being generated by the atmospheric state. The NWS cannot filter these out right now because of the real storms to the southeast of the radar and the current radar scanning strategy they are using. So no more storms to the northwest.

The rest of the storms should continue to go down hill over the next couple of hours.

RICKWOOD CLASSIC WEATHER
Partly cloudy and warm for the Rickwood Classic later today at 12:30 p.m. at the old ballpark in West End. See you there!
