Alabama 811 | Know What's Below.

Early on this Wednesday Morning

| September 26, 2012 @ 2:03 am

All is quiet and peaceful across the great Alabama countryside very early on this Wednesday morning. Not a shower or storm to be found anywhere.

Not so in the middle of the country. From a low over Colorado, a band of thunderstorms, with lots of lightning, extends eastward across Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana into Ohio. Lots of Severe Thunderstorm Warnings earlier tonight from West Texas as far east as Louisville. Those have thinned out now.

For today (Wednesday) the Storm Prediction Center has posted a slight risk for the east part of the Texas Panhandle, most of Oklahoma, Extreme South Kansas and a small part of Southwest Missouri.
