Severe Weather Along the Mississippi

| January 29, 2013 @ 9:33 pm

Severe weather outbreak ongoing to our west. Numerous tornado(red), severe thunderstorm(yellow) and flash flood(green) warnings across the Mississippi Valley. Severe storms now approaching the Mississippi River and will continue to move east. Still several hours away from Alabama, but these storms should maintain most of their intensity as a warm, unstable air mass remains in place. Some reports of damage in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. As we move through the night, expect severe weather watches to be extended east as the thunderstorm activity moves east.
