New Tornado Watch to our West

Now that the cold front is beginning to approach and interact with the more moist unstable air mass, severe thunderstorms are now developing across the Arklatex.  The SPC has issued a tornado watch that includes extreme east Texas, southern Arkansas, southwestern Mississippi and the entire state of Louisiana. This tornado watch is in effect until 8PM central time this evening. The watch includes Jackson, New Orleans, Monroe, Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Lack Charles and Lafayette.
