**No afternoon Weather Xtreme video today due to travel; I am at the University of Georgia where I will be speaking this evening**

SUN AND CLOUDS: Another day with a mix of sun and clouds across Alabama. Today most of the sun is over East and South Alabama…

Nothing on radar, and temperatures are generally in the 50s at early afternoon. Where the sun is out, highs will be in the low 60s; where clouds are in place, these communities will hold in the 50s.

TOMORROW/FRIDAY: Drier air will mean sunshine in full supply both days. The high tomorrow will be in the 65-68 degree range, and we reach the low to mid 70s Friday.

OUR WEEKEND: Saturday continues to look mild and mostly rain-free with a high in the low to mid 70s. I can’t rule out a shower in a few spots, but much of the day should be dry.

Sunday will be cloudy, cooler, and wet at times with periods of mostly light rain; many North Alabama communities won’t get out of the 50s, while South Alabama will see a high in the low to mid 70s again. The rain won’t be especially heavy, and there is no risk of severe weather.

NEXT WEEK: Monday will be pretty cool for late March; some places over North Alabama could hold in the 40s all day. Some rain is possible, but most likely over the southern counties. The sky should clear on Tuesday, with mostly rain-free weather for the rest of the week with a slow warming trend.

GULF COAST WEATHER: Expect sunny days and fair nights through Friday from Panama City to Gulf Shores. Just a small risk of a shower Saturday, with showers becoming more likely Sunday and especially on Monday. Then, the rest of next week looks rain-free with mostly sunny days. The sea water temperature at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab remains at 59 degrees this afternoon, so highs on the immediate coast will have a hard time getting past the mid 60s due to the cool ocean. Highs will be in the 70s just a few miles inland tomorrow through Sunday.
