| May 2, 2014 @ 3:00 am

WeatherBrains Episode 431 is now online (May 1, 2014). If you are crazy about weather, this is THE netcast audio program for you!

Our guest this week is Dr. Rick Knabb, the director of the National Hurricane Center. Tonight’s Guest Panelist is the AM Meteorologist at WAAY-TV in Huntsville, AL. He is a Badger from the University of Wisconsin. You would have thought he would have learned how to play hockey while there, but he is taking it up now. He loves radar and working severe weather.

Our email bag officer has been off, but she’s back with a look at the contents of the old email bag and what listeners are saying, good, bad, or ugly.

WeatherBrains 101: Last week in our 101 segment, we took a look at the overall NOAA Weather Radio program and some of its history. This week we delve into the two primary alerting methods that are available via NOAA Weather Radio to keep you informed during severe weather, even waking you up if necessary.

Listener SurveyListener Surveys: Okay, we continue to drive this topic into the ground, but we really do like to hear from you. Many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to fill out the Listener Survey. The survey takes just a minute or two to complete and provides us with an opportunity to learn where you are and hear your thoughts and comments on the show. Click here to take the survey.
